James Goodman

James is currently the People Director at Tesco for the UK & ROI, sitting on the UK Leadership team and responsible for all People related matters for the 250,000 Tesco colleagues. Previous to this James worked as the Sourcing Director for Tesco’s Home and Clothing division F&F, based in Shanghai responsible for Sourcing products and working with Suppliers to develop products and ranges for the £3 Billion turnover division across 15 countries. Before this James spent 6 years in various Senior People roles assuming responsibility for Unions, Recruitment, learning, OD, Early Careers and Health & Wellbeing. Previous to Tesco James spent 6 years at Gap Inc , in various People and General Manager roles and was part of the team who took the brand from 20 stores in 3 countries to 250 stores in 25 countries. James lives outside London and is married with two young children, enjoys cricket & football, travel and good food.
